Cancun, Q.R. — A group of four have been taken into police custody after they were found armed with guns and ammunition.
The detainment of the four took place at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday in SM 251 of Cancun when patrolling police reported seeing two parked vehicles, one of which was a Cancun taxi, whose occupants began acting suspicious at the sight of police. La Policia de Quintana Roo report that they observed one of the vehicle’s occupants in possession of a gun.
After requesting support from other units, an inspection of those inside the two cars revealed four guns and one knife. Police arrested three men and one woman who have been identified as 43-year-old Álvaro N, 28-year-old Cristián Francisco N, Nelson de Jesú 40 and a woman, 19-year-old Wendy N.
All four were transferred to the public security facilities for la Fiscalía General de la República.
