Cancun, Q.R. — Two Cancun men have been charged with armed robbery after stealing a car at gunpoint. The pair were charged after they were reported April 29 for entering a car rental company, threatening staff with a gun and making off with a Nissan Kicks.
On Thursday, authorities said that Marco de Jesús “N” and Brian Alan “N” will be held in custody during their trials after being picked up on outstanding warrants.
“The events attributed to them occurred on April 29 of the current year when, according to the first investigations, the defendants allegedly entered the establishment with firearms where they subsequently threatened the staff and took a Nissan brand vehicle, type Kicks, model 2023,” the State Attorney reported.
The Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in Combating Vehicle and Transportation Theft began the corresponding investigation in which it gathered the necessary elements that allowed it to request and obtain the arrest warrants.
