Suspect wanted for triple Cancun murder captured in the city

Cancun, Q.R. — A man wanted for a triple murder has been arrested in the city of Cancun. On Sunday, FGE head Óscar Montes de Oca, announced the arrest of Apolinar “O” on an outstanding arrest warrant.

He has been wanted since March of 2019 for the shooting deaths of three people in the city of Cancun. He was finally captured this weekend.

Apolinar “O” has been wanted since the murder of three people on March 2, 2019, “when the now-deceased and one other person were traveling in a van. When they stopped at Bonampak Avenue, almost on the corner with Nichupté, he got out of the vehicle and shot them.”

Authorities did not say how they came to locate and arrest Apolinar “O”. “The capture of others involved in the triple homicide is pending,” the agency said.
