Tulum, Q.R. — An unfinished condominium property in Tulum has been seized by the state. The weekend seizure took place after its developer was reported for fraud.
According to information available, personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office seized the property May 23. The property is located in region 15 of the town of Tulum.
Seizure seals were placed across the property Thursday by state personnel belonging to the Special Prosecutor’s Office in Combating Patrimonial Crimes.
The seizure stems from a complaint (investigation number FGE/QROO/BJ/01/2066/2024) by condo buyers against the developer.
Clients affected by this real estate project have reported a series of irregularities including non-compliance with the agreed qualities for the homes, as well as unjustified penalties and non-payment of commissions to real estate advisors.
