Sports Council reports 118 facilities now open

Cancun, Q.R. — Around the state, 118 sports facilities registered to reopen with Cancun leading the way with 75 of those facilities. According to information provided by the Quintana Roo Youth and Sports Council, 118 sport facilities across the state have been given the green light to gradually reopen.

The council reports that 29 of those newly certified places are in Othón P. Blanco, nine in Solidaridad, one in Tulum and two in Cozumel. The municipality of Benito Juárez (Cancun) currently has 75 health certified sport facilities around the city able to provide services.

In a statement, the agency highlights the great interest shown in obtaining the certificate that certifies compliance with the sanitary measures required for the safety of its users and the personnel working in the facilities.

They added that as of September 3, 118 sports venues have obtained the certificate issued by the Quintana Roo Youth and Sports Council and endorsed by the Federal Commission for Protection against Sanitary Risks through the State Health Services.
