Speeding driver creates backed up traffic along Cancun’s busy Colosio Boulevard

Cancun, Q.R. — An overturned SUV created a long line of backed up traffic Tuesday morning along Cancun’s busy Luis Donaldo Colosio Boulevard. The accident took place around 10:30 a.m. when, according to motorist witnesses, the speeding driver lost control.

Witnesses reported the vehicle flipped several times before finally coming to a stop in the middle of the boulevard. The old-model Jeep took out at least one city pole, which was found entangled with the vehicle in the center of the roadway.

Several people rushed to the aid of the driver, who was found injured.

Cancun Transit were at the scene along with paramedics who treated the man at the before transferring him to hospital. A back tire was completely ripped away from the vehicle during the accident. His vehicle was towed to the city corralón.
