Cancun, Q.R. — Speed and wet pavement are said to have been factors in a car landing on its roof. The vehicle mishap was reported by passersby in the Cancun Hotel Zone Monday.
Witnesses made the call to authorities at kilometer 20 of the hotel zone where the driver of the car lost control and flipped it, landeding on its roof on a sidewalk.
Paramedics responded to the Emergency 911 call along with personnel from the traffic division. Authorities arrived to find a blue Peugeot on its roof with one injured.
The female driver was transferred to hospital for treatment. Traffic police ordered a tow truck to remove the car from the sidewalk and transfer it to the city’s corral.
