Cancun, Q.R. — A burned out vehicle with skeletal remains was found abandoned outside Cancun Saturday. The early morning discovery was made around 7:30 a.m. by a passerby who called in the finding to the C5 centre.
Police responding to the report located the car, which had been set ablaze. Inside were the skeletal remains of an adult male. The car was found on a road that leads to the Tres Reyes neighborhood.
The FGE posted a brief note regarding the finding, but no follow-up or details.
“The FGE of Quintana Roo informs that after the report of a burned vehicle with skeletal remains, an investigation was opened to clarify this fact, which occurred in the municipality of Benito Juárez (Cancun).
“Likewise, experts from this body carried out the pertinent examinations to identify the victim and determine the causes of death.”
