Cancun, Q.R. — Two subjects who fled a murder scene were not able to avoid being arrested after shooting a Cancun man. Area residents in Cielo Nuevo witnessed the men arrive in their neighborhood around 9:00 a.m. then shoot a man to death on the street.
The two men then fled on a motorcycle. Resident of SM 249 called in the shooting to 911. Police began a search for the men on the bike, which resulted in a city chase. The pair on the bike left their motorcycle at a mechanic shop then began to run on foot.
Additional police began a foot search for the suspects, who were seen running over rooftops. They were eventually intercepted in a car in Cielo Nuevo, the same neighborhood where they shooting took place. The car was being driven by a woman.
The two men were arrested for the shooting death of a Cancun man. The woman was arrested for allegedly helping the pair escape. No names have been released.
