Cancun, Q.R. — A speeding driver who allegedly fell asleep at the wheel created mayhem after he overturned his trailer. The accident was reported to authorities around 5:40 a.m. when the large unit was seen ditched along the Cancun-Leona Vicario federal highway.
The preliminary report detailed that the driver was unhurt, receiving only a few minor injuries. Passing motorists called Emergency 911. Police, paramedics and firemen attended to the scene.
The driver was assessed but did not require a hospital transfer. It wasn’t until 9:00 a.m that a tow truck arrived to upright and remove the semi from the side of the road.
