Cancun, Q.R. — At least one person was arrested after the robbery of a Cancun television station. The arrested suspect is reported to be the company’s security guard.
The robbery was reported at 11:45 a.m. Sunday to emergency services. Police arrived in SM 4 at the Bonampak Avenue location to investigate. Money, equipment, documents and the contents of an armored safe were reported as part of the known stolen items.
The robbery was reported by staff who arrived for work Sunday. They noticed no forced entry and an open but emptied safe. The security guard was taken into custody as a person of interest.
