Ritz Carlton launches $400 million USD mega project in Cancun’s Punta Nizuc

Cancun, Q.R. — The Ritz Carlton has launched a new development that will include both hotel and residential suites in Punta Nizuc of Cancun. The announcement was made by Salvador Daniel Kabbaz, the CEO and President of Grupo Danhos Thursday.

During the new real estate announcement, he was accompanied by Alberto Levy Yermia, CEO of Beyond Ventures, Simón Galante Zaga, CEO of Fibra Hotel and Bryan King, President of Marriot International Latin America.

During the Thursday presentation, Governor Mara Lezama said “there is no doubt that in the framework of the 50th anniversary of Quintana Roo as a Free and Sovereign State, the good news continues to arrive.”

The Ritz Carlton Punta Nizuc project, which is already under way in its construction, includes 131 rooms and 126 luxury residences. Details include a pool complex facing the sea, spa and specialty restaurants, among other amenities and services.

According to Lezama, it will generate around 2,000 direct jobs and 700 permanent ones. The Ritz-Carlton brand arrived in Cancun in 1993 and operated for three decades until 2022. This latest project is an estimated investment of $400 million USD.

During the presentation, the project was formalized with the signing of the contract between the parties, Marriot and Fibras. Cancun Mayor Ana Paty Peralta de la Peña, welcomed the investors.
