Cancun, Q.R. — The façade of a restaurant was shot at in Cancun Monday without injuries or arrests. The same restaurant was also hit with bullets in Playa del Carmen.
Staff from inside the Cancun location in SM 101 saw two men approach the restaurant and open fire before fleeing. They told police they hid inside until the gunfire stopped.
Police also attended to a similar report in the Colosio area of Playa del Carmen where the same restaurant was also shot at. It was reportedly hit three times by bullets before the shooter fled on foot to a waiting motorcycle.
Reports say both restaurants were shot at at the same time in the different cities. Injuries were not reported in either of the incidents. Authorities are investigating both attacks.
