Cancun, Q.R. — Police were called to the scene of a dead body report made Sunday in a public playground. An area resident made the report after finding what appeared to be a body in a bag left inside an overturned shopping cart.
The finding was reported Sunday afternoon in SM 68 in La Rehollada Park. Three responding officers confirmed the bags inside the cart contained a body.
The green plastic shopping cart had been rolled part way down a small embankement that lead to a children’s playground.
Its contents of human remains were confirmed found inside several bags within the cart off José López Portillo Avenue. There are local reports that the body is that of an adult male, however, authorities have not confirmed that informaiton.
The area was secured by police for several hours while the forensic work was carried out, disrutping traffic on José López Portillo Avenue.
