Remains of mother of four found on Cancun dirt road

Cancun, Q.R. — The remains found in SM 253 of Cancun Friday have been identified as the mother of four. Area residents traveling the dirt road where the body was found alerted local authorities.

Cancun police confirmed the remains, which were found in black bags, were human and are believed those of a 36 year old woman reported missing Monday.

According to early information, tattoos was used as a preliminary identification marker to notify her family who have since made a positive ID. The woman was reported missing May 13.

The body of Ligia “N” was found in bags on a dirt road near the La Joya subdivision Friday afternoon. Police have not commented on a motive for her death.
