Cancun, Q.R. — The old model Cancun taxi didn’t stand a chance against the large water truck that it crashed into on Wednesday. The small car was considered a write off after it slammed into the truck while attempting to avoid a third vehicle.
Severe front end damage and two injured was the result of the daytime collision in Region 255. The accident happened around noon at Paseos Nikté Avenue when, while both vehicles were traveling on a parallel road, a third vehicle tried to quickly cross the avenue.
The driver of that private car is said to have caused the accident where the Cancun taxi and company water truck collided. In an attempt to avoid the crossing car, the taxi slammed into the five-ton truck.
The driver of both vehicles suffered minor injuries, but did not require hospital transfer.
