Cancun, Q.R. — Authorities in Cancun have reported the discovery of a second body. The second discovery was made after police were sent to SM 106 in response to the finding of a dead woman earlier in the day.
Residents in the Carabanchel neighborhood reported stumbling upon the body of a deceased woman Tuesday morning. While searching the area, police located a second body approximately 400 meters from the first.
The first victim is reported to have been a woman of around 25. She was found shot to death and dumped with a threat message left behind by criminals. “This is what happens to you for being a thief and getting into things you shouldn’t be doing,” the message read.
Authorities have not said if the second body is also that of a woman. The second body was found Tuesday afternoon wrapped in old bedding and dumped along the same dirt road as the first body Tuesday morning.
Police have not provided any official details surrounding either of the Tuesday discoveries.
