Cancun, Q.R. — A gun found during the arrest of three people during a drug bust has been connected to a 2025 Cancun murder. The two men and one woman were taken into custody in a residential area on drug offences.
During their arrests, police found a loaded gun that has since been tied to the October shooting death of a Cancun man.
All three were detained in the El Milagro residential neighborhood where, police said, they controlled drug sales. On Monday, authorities confirmed that after analysis, the gun found in their possession matches the one used in the SM 248 shooting death of a local man.
Police say 35 year old Griselda Viridiana, alias “La Flaca” from Guanajuato along with 33 year old Josué “N” and Ángel Mario “N” (no age provided), both from Veracruz, are in custody.

All three are reported part of a criminal group that controls drug sales in the Villas del Mar, Casas del Mar, Galaxias del Sol and Maracuya neighborhoods of Cancun.
On October 11, 2025, Salvador “N” was shot and killed by a man police have identified as Josué “N”, the leader of the group.
Police say the shell casings found on the day of Salvador’s murder matched the ballistics test with the weapon that the now detained individuals had during their arrests. The murder was over the sale of narcotics.
