Cancun, Q.R. — The State Attorney General (FGE) has arrested a man accused of throwing a dog from the eighth floor of a Cancun apartment building. The man, a foreigner identified as Zefafatzadeh “N”, allegedly threw the dog from the building August 17.
He videoed the event. Police have announced his arrest for animal abuse.
“On August 17 of this year, from the eighth-floor apartment of a building located in a residential complex, he threw a dog while recording a video of the incident,” the FGE said in a statement.
A man of foreign nationality, identified as Zefafatzadeh “N”, was arrested for his probable participation in events that could constitute a crime against the environment, fauna and the development of society, the FGE stated.
A formal complaint was filed against Zefafatzadeh “N” which lead to his arrest. It is not known who filed the complaint or if the dog belonged to him or someone else. The reason for the incident is also unknown since the FGE did not provide details surround the incident.
