Cancun, Q.R. — Quintana Roo Police officers report the seizure of a vehicle in Cancun that they say, contained drugs. One person was detained during the Region 524 inspection of the vehicle on Chac Mool Avenue.
State agents carried out a search of the parked vehicle, finding two large bags of marijuana and another 66 street dose along with four bags of cocaine and scales. A tow truck arrived to transfer the vehicle to police facilities as part of their investigation.
The detained man has been identified as 36-year-old Edgar GP from the state of Guerrero. He was searched and eventually arrested after police responded to the call of a suspicious parked vehicle. When they arrived, they found the 36-year-old man asleep inside his SUV.
