Cancun, Q.R. — An arrest has been made in the fatal stabbing death of a family of four in Cancun earlier this week. The Attorney General of the State (FGE) has reported the arrest of Yonathan P “for the crime of homicide and stab injuries to the detriment of four people, two of whom were minors.”
The FGE reported that their investigation attributed him as the person who entered the home on November 25 and stabbed four family members, one of whom, 30-year-old Marina N, died. “Due to the severity of the injuries, one of the victims lost her life,” they added.
Yonathan P was arrested Saturday with the help of city security cameras. He “was located in the streets of the Ciudad Natura neighborhood, in the municipality of Benito Juárez, where he was detained by elements of the investigative police,” the agency stated, adding that “the investigation determined that the motive for the events was for revenge.”
