Cancun, Q.R. — Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found dead after an argument with her boyfriend. Neighbors called police after seeing the man attack her with a knife on a residential sidewalk.
The incident happened on the street outside their shared home on 65th Avenue in SM 91 of Cancun. Neighbors who witnessed the attack identified the man as her boyfriend.
During the altercation, the woman ran from the home across the street to where she was followed by the man. A report of the assault was made at 9:50 p.m. Municipal Police arrived and confirmed a stabbed female.
Her body was found laying on the sidewalk outside a sports complex.
She was pronounced dead by paramedics after suffering several stab wounds.
Police cordoned off the area, while forensics collected evidence and her body was removed from the street. Area security cameras are being used as part of the investigation.
