Cancun, Q.R. — City surveillance cameras are being used to track down a vehicle responsible for an accident. On Friday night, a woman was killed after the motorcycle she was riding as a passenger collided with a car.
The driver of the motorcycle survived, but his passenger did not. The driver of the vehicle alleged responsible kept going.
The accident happened shortly before 9:00 p.m. Friday at kilometer 8.4 of Kukulcán Boulevard. The motorcycle was heading toward downtown Cancun already on the boulevard when it was involved in the accident.

According to initial reports, a vehicle was exiting a U-turn near kilometer 8.5 when the motorcycle collided with it in mid-U-turn on Kukulcán Boulevard.
Transit officers arrived to find two people from the motorcycle laying on the boulevard. The driver was transferred to hospital. His passenger was pronounced dead.
Traffic along the boulevard was disrupted Friday night for nearly an hour with the arrival of emergency vehicles. Police are in search of a car responsible for the fatal collision.
