Cancun, Q.R. — The State Attorney General (FGE) says they have arrested Cancun union leader José Isidro “N”. José Isidro “N” was wanted in relation to the death of a former union coworker from July of 2018.

In a statement Friday, state officials said he was arrested Thursday morning by elements of the Investigative Police assigned to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Combating the Crime of Homicide.
The arresting officers fulfilled a current arrest warrant against José Isidro “N” when he was about to enter a hearing at the headquarters of the Federal Judicial Power in SM 50 of Cancun.
He was taken into custody “for the revocation of precautionary measures, which he had failed to comply with within a Federal Criminal process, for human trafficking in the form of prostitution of others, a crime that has been pursued against him since 2019 and for which he was detained for more than three years,” the FGE reported.
“Regarding the arrest warrant executed for the crime of aggravated homicide allegedly perpetrated on July 17, 2018, and according to the investigations, José Isidro “N” accused the victim of stealing money, jewelry and high-end watches belonging to him, which occurred inside the offices of the union where he is the leader,” they added.

The deceased man that he is accused of killing (aggravated homicide) was a fellow coworker at the union. That man has not been named. Police said following his arrest, José Isidro “N” was placed at the disposal of a judge who will determine his legal status in accordance with the law.
