Cancun, Q.R. — National Guard were part of a grow house dismantling operation in Cancun Wednesday. Police searched a home in SM 331 due to an ongoing investigation. Inside, they located a marijuana grow op.
On Thursday, the State Attorney General (FGE) said the operation was made in collaboration with the National Guard and the Ministry of National Defense. Authotrities “executed a search warrant at a home used as a greenhouse to grow and process green and dry grass with characteristics similar to marijuana.
“Agents of the Investigative Police attached to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Drug Dealing Crimes carried out the investigation at the property located on Paseo del Prado Street in Supermanzana 331,” they said in a statement.
“In the house, there was a room designed to dehydrate the plants they grew there.”
After the evidence was collected the house was seized by the state.
