Cancun, Q.R. — Half-a-dozen people were treated for injuries after a two car crunch in Cancun Sunday night. Firemen were at the scene around 9:00 p.m. along with other emergency vehicles in response to the many 9-1-1 reports.
There, at least six people were treated for injuries by paramedics from the two ambulances that arrived.
Cancun witnesses reported seeing the private car and city taxi collide on José López Portillo Avenue from where the taxi driver fled the scene to avoid arrest. Three people from inside the private car and three others from inside the taxi were treated for various injures.
Among the injured was an elderly woman and a child who was taken to hospital with a broken leg.

Police are still investigating the accident to determine whereabouts of the taxi driver, who according to sidewalk witnesses, was responsible for the crash.
