Cancun, Q.R. — A chase through city streets and the exchange of gunfire resulted in the arrest of one and the discovery of a criminal safe house. The house was located Thursday night by Cancun police after they gave chase to a vehicle with three males inside.
The vehicle was on police radar after the report of a business robbery in the vicinity of El Torito. The white SUV said responsible for the robbery was located on city streets, which resulted in a pursuit. Gun fire was exchanged after men from inside the SUV began to shoot.
Both the police unit and the SUV came to a stop in Region 227 after colliding. The three males from inside the white SUV fled, with only one being captured. It was the captured male who told police the place where they stopped was a criminal safe house where they operated.
The unidentified male was arrested and the property of the criminal safe house, seized by FGE officials.
