Cancun, Q.R. — Police arrested three men Friday that took off on foot during a Cancun property raid. Authorities had a section of residential area in SM 91 closed Friday afternoon while they carried out the operation.
Police were at the private property as part of a search due to allegations of illegal activity. The property was reportadly functioning as an improvised workshop for motorcycles.

It is not clear if the workshop was used to store stolen vehicles or if it was used for other illegal purposes.
While police were there, three men from inside the property attempted to flee on foot. Roads were closed and a search operation started that led to their arrests.
The large deployment of municipal police officers was reported at the private residence near Lombardo Toledano Avenue. During the operation, authorities seized firearms.
