Cancun, Q.R. — A truck belonging to two Cancun residents was found burned out in the state of Campeche. The pair left Cancun for Mexico City December 27. Their families reported them missing the following day after failed attempts to make contact.
Police issued a missing persons alert for the two men identified as 35-year-old Giovanny “L” and 45-year-old Francisco “R”. Their pickup truck was found completely burned along a section of Chekubul – Sabancuy highway the following day.
The Escárcega, Campeche Fire Department said that they received the report of a vehicle fire around 11:25 a.m. on December 28. Once the fire was out, authorities identified the truck as that belonging to the Cancun men. Their whereabouts remains unknown.
