Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun firemen responded to the report of a burning vehicle located along a dirt road in city suburbs. The vehicle, a pickup, is alleged to have been involved in the kidnapping of two people the day before.
The truck was found fully engulfed in flames in the El Pedregal neighborhood of Cancun Monday around 4:00 a.m. On Sunday afternoon, two people were reportedly kidnapped from an area near the Social Reintegration Center (Cereso) prison in Cancun.
They are believed to have been kidnapped from Region 99 and transported inside that truck. The man and woman kidnapped are allegedly related to the man they visited in prison. Further details surrounding the case have not been made public.
