Cancun, Q.R. — A pedestrian was hit Monday afternoon at kilometer 8 of the Cancun Hotel Zone by a vehicle that was hit by another car. The victim, Egbar M.V., had to be taken to hospital.
The accident occurred on Kukulcán Boulevard where a white Nissan, driven by 23-year-old Canadian Kevin Edward G.Y., hit the back of a Jetta. That collision projected the Jetta, driven by José Carlos R.C., forward onto the sidewalk that resulted in Edgar M.V. being hit.
A private ambulance transferred the injured man to hospital, while Tourist Police cordoned off the area for the State Attorney General’s Office. The accident is alleged to have occurred from the driver of the Nissan following too closely.
