When they saw police, both made a run for it but were intercepted and arrested. Both men have since been charged with illegal deprivation of liberty.

“The suspects, identified as Hugo Enrique “N” and Hector Jesus “N”, are accused of events that occurred on March 31, 2026, when members of the Investigation Police were carrying out investigations in the irregular settlement “La Roca”, at which time they heard cries for help coming from a house,” police reported.

“Upon exiting the vehicle, the officers observed the now-accused individuals inside, who were holding the victim captive. Upon noticing the police presence, both fled the scene; one of them was carrying a firearm. A short distance away, the officers apprehended them.”

The Cancun judge hearing the case has ordered both to remain jailed for the duration of their process.
