Cancun, Q.R. — A woman who was the passenger on a motorcycle involved in a crash Monday has died. The woman was killed after the bike she was on crashed into the back of a city bus.
The accident happened at kilometer 8 of Kukulcán Boulevard in the Cancun Hotel Zone Monday evening. Early information provided by the unnamed driver of the motorcycle says the bus blocked the lane they were traveling on, causing him to crash into the back of it.
The 6:00 p.m. accident had traffic backed up for several kilometers while police waited for paramedics. The driver of the bike was transferred to hospital with minor injuries, however, the medical examiner was called to remove the body of the woman who died on scene.
