Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun police officers rushed to Bonampak Avenue Friday after shots were reported fired into the air. The incident happened in the Puerto Cancun area from where gunshots were reported along Bonampak Avenue.
Several police units responded to the citizen reports with authorities since confirming the shots fired were not related to a high-impact crime. Two spent shell casings were found where the gunfire was reported that afternoon.
Police used city surveillance cameras to review what happened. According to their findings, two males aboard a motorcycle fired off the shots. Police are currently in search of the motorcycle and its riders.
