Pair charged in shooting death of Cancun man

Cancun, Q.R. — Two men have been charged with the murder of a Cancun mototaxi coordinator. The men were officially charged Wednesday for their role in the May 5 shooting death.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, both men are charged “for their alleged involvement in acts possibly constituting the crime of aggravated homicide.”

According to authorities, Héctor Daniel “N” and Francisco “N” allegedly took the life of a man on the night of May 5 of this year. The now-deceased worked as a motorcycle taxi coordinator.

“The incident occurred when the suspects went to the victim’s home, located in the Villas Otoch Paraíso subdivision, approached him, shot him in the chest and then fled the scene.”

After their arrests, a judge ordered Héctor Daniel “N” and Francisco “N” to stand trial. Police did not provide a line of motivation for the murder.
