Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun driver who lost control of his car crashed it through the glass front of a pizza shop. On Wednesday night, the speeding driver also hit six company delivery motorcycles before crashing through the glass facade.
Police were requested at a Domino’s Pizza on Kabah Avenue around 10 p.m. Wednesday night.
Responding officers found the private car inside the front counter area of the pizza company. Large shards of broken glass littered the inside. Six Domino’s Pizza delivery motorcycles were felled after being hit by the out-of-control car.
According to witnesses reports, the driver of the car attempted to reverse to escape, but was unable to move with the motorcycles lodged underneath. Instead, witnesses say the male driver took flight on foot, heading toward Kabah Avenue.
Authorities did not provide an estimate on damage. There is no word on how or why the driver smashed through the glass facade.
