Cancun, Q.R. — One dead and one seriously injured was the result of a motorcycle crash in the Cancun Hotel Zone over the weekend. Emergency 911 was made aware of the single-bike crash that happened at Kilometer 17.5 of Kukulcán Boulevard.
Witnesses to the 7:20 p.m. Cancun Hotel Zone accident reported seeing the bike hit a metal pole in an attempt to avoid a vehicle that suddenly blocked its path.
The male driver of the motorcycle was pronounced on scene by responding paramedics. The female passenger was taken to Cancun hospital in serious condition.
