Cancun, Q.R. — Two minors and one adult were arrested in Cancun Tuesday after allegedly robbing a business. Elements of the Benito Juárez Police detained the trio after the two youths committed the robbery and used a taxi as a getaway.
The arrests were made after patrolling police were stopped by a citizen in Region 333 who said that moments before, their store had been robbed. The victim was able to provide police with details, including the taxi number.
A search for the vehicle lead them to its discovery at an intersection in SM 528. The victim positively identified the three men as those involved. The two youths robbed the store at knife-point, leaving with the day’s cash and store merchandise.
A search of their person revealed three knives and the stolen cash. Taken into police custody were 46-year-old Oliver N along with two minors, 16-year-old R.T.A. and 17-year-old E.S.P.
