Cancun, Q.R. — A new Commander of the Quintana Roo National Guard was sworn in Tuesday. Cancun Mayor Ana Patricia Peralta witnessed the inauguration of Brigadier General Commissioner DEM, José Luis Martínez Rojas.
Rojas is now Commander of the 10th Brigade of the Military Police and State Coordinator of the National Guard in Quintana Roo.
At the end of the ceremony Peralta said that with the help of the new Commander, the federal, state and municipal government and institutions will have strengthened security in order to contribute to the construction of peace in the municipality and around the state.
During the Tuesday ceremony, senior officers swore an oath to José Luis Martínez Rojas, who was officially appointed the position July 16th.
