New French consular office inaugurated in Cancun

Cancun, Q.R. — On Monday, the French Ambassador in Mexico, Jean-Pierre Asvazadourian, inaugurated the new consular agency in Cancun. The new office is headed by Emmanuel Cyril Grimbaum.

This consular office aims to provide services and support to compatriots residing or vacationing in the country.

On social media, the diplomat revealed that the agency belongs to an extensive network of 17 honorary consuls of the French country on Mexican soil.

It was Monday morning when the French representative in Mexico announced his arrival in Quintana Roo and said that as part of his agenda, he has scheduled a working meeting with the state governor, Mara Lezama Espinoza for February 14.

Qunitana Roo FGE head Óscar Montes de Oca, also attended the February 14 meeting.

He posted “The head of the FGE of Quintana Roo, Óscar Montes de Oca, accompanied the Governor to the working meeting she held with the French ambassador in Mexico, and the new French Consul in Cancun, Emmanuel Grimbaum.

“At the meeting, they discussed issues related to the safety of French tourists in Quintana Roo, in which the Prosecutor endorsed his commitment to seek timely justice for the population of Quintana Roo and visitors.”
