New Director of Tourist Police sworn in for Cancun Hotel Zone

Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun Mayor Ana Paty Peralta says the city’s Tourist Police division has a new boss. Ulises Adrián Martínez Monzón is the new head of the Tourist Police of the Municipal Secretariat of Citizen Security and Transit.

“Cancun deserves an exemplary Tourist Police force and that is the standard we are setting today. It not only represents security, but also Cancun’s image to the world,” said Mayor Ana Paty Peralta.

On Tuesday, Ulises Adrián Martínez Monzón was sworn in as the new director of the Tourist Police of the Municipal Secretariat of Citizen Security and Transit. He was sworn into his new position during the Thirty-Seventh Ordinary City Council Session.

Members of the Benito Juárez City Council unanimously approved the proposal for his appointment.

 “I have given the new director very specific instructions to conduct himself with the highest level of professionalism, discipline and commitment to Cancun and its residents.

“His mission is clear,” Mayor Peralta said “Impeccable work, close to the people, both the residents of Cancun and our millions of visitors, respectful of human rights, and above all, up to the standard that our city and those who visit us deserve,” she stated.

Ana Paty Peralta emphasized that deviations, abuses, or omissions in their performance will not be tolerated, as work must be done with order, honesty, and above all, with results.
