Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun firemen arrived to a fully engulfed home in the La Guadalupana subdivision Tuesday night. Police and firemen were called to the scene of the home when neighbors saw flames shooting out of a second story window.

Due to the intensity of the fire, Municipal Police sectioned off the road to public traffic while firemen worked to put out the fire. The fire was prevented from spreading to other attached homes.

The entire second floor was left in ruins due to the fire. There were no injuries reported during the Tuesday night residential blaze.

“Fire successfully extinguished! Our Cancún Fire Department team responded immediately to an emergency call to combat and extinguish a fire in a residential home located near Supermanzana 211, in the La Guadalupana neighborhood.

“Thanks to our team’s quick response, the situation was brought under control with no injuries reported. The safety of our families is our priority! Remember: if you see smoke, fire, or any other dangerous situation, don’t hesitate to call 911 immediately! Your timely report can save lives. Serve and Protect!” Bomberos Cancun wrote.

Civil Protection personnel are continuing to work with city firemen to determine an official cause for the late night fire.
