Cancun, Q.R. — A disoriented man was reported in the early hours of Friday morning wandering a Cancun road. Motorists traveling on the Arco Vial around 2:30 a.m. saw the man on the side of the road and called emergency services.
The incident happened in SM 106 where State Preventive Police officers were sent to verify the report. The man, identified as Vicente Luisum “N”, 40 of French nationality, had apparently been lost for hours.
Police reported that he was found unharmed, however, responding officers did request the support of a medical unit.
Paramedics from the Red Cross arrived shortly after their call. The man was assessed and found to be dehydrated, and was transferred to a Cancun hospital.
Local authorities have not confirmed if the man is a tourist or resident, nor have they said how he became to be found sitting on the side of the road.
