Cancun, Q.R. — A young motorcycle driver performing wheelies on a city road was killed. The incident happened Saturday on a section of Tules Avenue in front of a large group of people.
The accident was reported around 5:00 p.m. Saturday by witnesses who said the motorcycle driver was performing wheelies down the road when he lost control. His bike ended up jumping the roadway median landing him in oncoming traffic where he was hit by a truck.
Police and emergency medical personnel responding to the report of the accident arrived to find the motorcycle driver dead. The driver of the truck was detained from the scene.
