Cancun, Q.R. — The male driver of a motorcycle was killed Friday after crashing into the back of a large cargo truck. The accident was reported to police from José López Portillo Avenue around 4:30 a.m.
Transit authorities located the accident scene at the Cancun highway junction with Mérida. Paramedics were requested, but arrived only to verify the male motorcycle driver was deceased.
The unharmed driver of the cargo truck was detained by authorities from the site of the accident. Police continue to investigate the official cause of the deadly accident.
