Cancun, Q.R. — INM was part of an operation Wednesday night that lead to the arrests of more than two dozen illegal residents. The nighttime operation was carried out by the National Institute of Migration (INM) at El Gran Chibalho hotel in Cancun.

INM officers were supported by the National Guard, Quintana Roo Police and the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), who surrounded the area while the 25 to 30 people from inside were removed from the hotel.

The raid happened in SM 63 around 9:00 p.m. in a hotel that once operated as La Caldera del Marques bar. INM officers removed minors, men and women of Hindu, Cuban and Ecuadorian nationalities who were living in the country illegally.
