More than a dozen countries participating in Cancun’s 2023 Travel Mart

Cancun, Q.R. — Tour operators and travel agencies from 13 countries are participating in Travel Mart 2023 hosted in Cancun. On Thursday, the annual Travel Mart was inaugurated by local mayors, government tourism workers and Governor, Mara Lezama.

The tourism promotion and marketing event was been organized by the Hotel Association of Cancun, Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres, reported Lezama who pointed out that it is a facilitating instrument for anyone who wants to invest or expand in the state or any of its municipalities.

During the opening ceremony, Lezama highlighted that although Quintana Roo is a world tourism leader with more than 31.3 million passengers received at the three international airports in 2022, this success is a product of the attention, the smiles of the waiters , kitchen staff, chefs and all workers.

The Undersecretary of Tourism of SECTUR, Humberto Hernández Haddad, highlighted the example of work that Quintana Roo reflects in the various international events in which the spaces are already too small.

“The tourism phenomenon in Quintana Roo has been growing year after year,” he said.

The Cancun Travel Mart is an annual event of great relevance in the tourism industry that takes place in Cancun. It is a business platform that brings together representatives of the tourism industry such as hotels, travel agencies, airlines and other tourism service providers with national and international buyers, including tour operators and travel agents.

During the event, participants have the opportunity to establish contacts, close commercial agreements, and promote tourist destinations and services in the Cancun region and the Mexican Caribbean.
