Cancun, Q.R. — A search operation lead Cancun authorities to the discovery of drugs, weapons and tactical gear. In a press release, the FGE reported the seizure of more than 200 kilograms of drugs, a long weapon and tactical equipment during the search of a home in Cancun.
The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reported the seizure as part of the recent creation of the Specialized Unit for Searches of homes used for the sale of narcotics.
State Attorney General Óscar Montes de Oca said agents of the investigative police, in joint work with the authorities that make up the Coordination Group for the Construction of Peace and Security in Quintana Roo, seized more than 200 kilograms of marijuana, various doses of cocaine, a weapon and tactical equipment.
The agency did not mention arrests during their operation.
