Cancun, Q.R. — A man shot to death inside a Cancun barbershop Friday has been identified. The now-deceased was a 37-year-old lawyer from Mexico City.
According to available information, José Armando “S” was shot several times in the targeted attack Friday afternoon. An armed man entered the barbershop in Plaza Península where the now-deceased was reportedly waiting for a haircut when he was gunned down.
Paramedics arrived to pronounced the shot man dead at the scene. He had at least three gunshot wounds, only of which was to the head and believed the fatal shot.
Municipal Police collected nearly a dozen shell casings from the scene. Cancun police are using plaza security footage to track down those responsible. According to the State Attorney General of Quintana Roo, “a personal vendetta over immigration issues” is being investigated as a possible motive for the fatal attack.
