Cancun, Q.R. — A man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant in the state of Nuevo León has been arrested in Cancun. The arrest was made after a Nuevo León judge granted an arrest warrant against 24-year-old Diego N for publishing videos and intimate photographs of his former partner across social media.
The videos and photos were from their previous relationship in 2018. The woman in the photos denounced the publication and dissemination of her private photos and threats she received from Diego N.
The intimate photos were made public on social media May 19 and May 20. The victim’s lawyer presented the published images along with copies of his treats in court.
For these criminal acts, the judge granted an arrest warrant against Diego N for crimes against personal privacy and blackmail. After his arrest in Cancun, he was transferred and detained in Cereso de Apodaca in Nuevo León.
